Lighting Up the New Year

Lighting up the New Year is something we are looking forward to.  Many people make New Year resolutions, but, sadly, few attain their goals.  At Illumination FL, we are hopeful for this New Year.  So, what do we expect that ‘Lighting up the New Year’ is going to look like for us? 

Well, we are certainly excited about our recent expansion into the Naples and Fort Myers area.  The opportunities to provide the same great service and products that Illumination FL is known for are wonderful. 

Next, we are also thrilled at the progress we have made at our home office with regard to renovations and organization.  This has really set us up to improve our efficiency and quality of service in 2021. 

Finally, we will continue to develop the best landscape lighting design and installation teams in the industry.  We were so pleased to welcome Jack back to the design and sales team this year and to onboard Mark Salopek as our Regional Manager on the West Coast.  It is a great time to be part of the Illumination FL story!

Expanding Illumination FL

Growing a business is such a joy. Expanding Illumination FL during the last 15 plus years has been a rewarding venture.  Taking the step to expand into serving the West Coast of Florida was a big one for us.  However, Mark arrived with the fresh zeal that we needed.  He successfully completed several industry recognized certifications.  Then he came alongside various members of the team, asked great questions, and got up to speed with general operations very quickly.  Of course, this didn’t surprise us, as he comes to us with a lot of useful experience in sales with a reputable engineering firm.  Plus, you know…he is family. 

The Naples / Fort Myers area has some great development going on.  There are some very important landscape architects and builders producing amazing homes there.  Once we looked at the work being done with Mark, we knew right away that the experience and skill of Illumination FL could be of tremendous service to showcase these homes and gardens.

Redesigning the Home Office

Covid-19 had everyone looking for ways to do business in new ways, re-designing the home office was one of the ways we responded. Making sure that our employees that work in our headquarters have a safe environment where ample personal space allows for the recommended social distancing was a project.  However, it was something we saw as a great opportunity to invest in our infrastructure and team.

We don’t often entertain clients at our home office so this really was all about making life better for our most vital customers, our employees.  We wanted to make sure our team is well taken care of so they will, in turn, take wonderful care of our customers.  Last, but not least, regarding the home office redesign, we were also able to embrace some new technologies in 2020.  These technologies were deployed both in the home office and in the field.  These new technologies have already started to empower us to do an even better job for our customers, and we are all excited about that!

Landscape Lighting Team Development

Team development is at the heart of the work we do at Illumination FL landscape lighting.  We continue to be a family owned and operated business.  Seeing our entire team as part of the family helps us to be intentional about seeking the best for the company and for each member of the team. 

In the past, we have partnered with leading manufacturers, industry experts, and consultants to make sure that we provide a quality, professional experience for every customer.  Moving into a new year, we intend on maintaining our focus on professionalism and helping to develop the skill sets of our team members and contributors. This is one way we look to continue growing the business in a wise and efficient manner.

The reality is that without a great team and all the loyal Illumination FL customers that continue to recommend us to family and friends, we wouldn’t be able to keep up this growth rate. What we have been doing is working, and there are even greater opportunities to build on that success in 2021.  So, we wish everyone a very happy and prosperous New Year!!!
